He’s talked to Putin 7 times as a private citizen? Surely they have enough to Logan Act his ass, right? What legitimate reasons does Trump have to be contacting a foreign leader (of a state that is considered an enemy of the United States, at that)?

Well, that’s not fishy at all.

Who among us can claim we’ve been able to entirely avoid repeatedly talking to authoritarian dictators as private citizens?

I mean, just the other day I was at the grocery store and ran into both Viktor Orban in the bread aisle. Chatty guy.

Serious question. what would have happened to me, a regular citizen with highly classified material in my bathroom, if I had been calling Osama Bin Laden frequently?

  4. 2017: its an absolutely outrageous hoax to claim Trump has anything to do with Russia.

2024: of course private citizen Trump talks to Putin all the time even after he invaded Ukraine nbd

Most people would understand Putins directive for destroying democracy in the USA in one phone call. But, Trump being Trump, it took 7 calls.

Also, Rupert Murdoch recently married Elena Zhukova, the ex-wife of a Russian oligarch, Alexander Zhukov. Her own daughter was married to oligarch Roman Abramovich.

The media should be pressing him and Vance on this every chance they get. They need to get them on camera trying to explain why a U.S. citizen, someone who is indicted for multiple crimes related to past election interference, is communicating with the Russian government, who has been accused by the DOJ for trying to manipulate our current election.
