If Cleverly wins the Tories should probably expect a whole decade out of powerÂ

Cleverly’s conference speech seems to have powered him through and he’s not been hit as badly by the Chagos stuff as some said.

So only Cleverly, Jenrick and Badenoch left. If the Conservative membership is serious about winning the next election, they will choose Cleverly, or they will stay in the political wilderness for another 5 years.

Cleverly will win as he realised to make his speech funny (subjectively) at the conference. Apparently it went down really well.
Apprantely tugenghat spent the whole conference trying to give free memorabilia away which no one wanted

Can’t stand Tugenhadt, a complete hawk and I don’t think there’s ever been a war or foreign intervention that he didn’t want to get involved in.
That being said I can’t stand the rest of them either, I can’t see any of them over turning Labours majority even if Labours support is fairly shallow.

Oh boy, I can’t wait to find out who I’m never voting for.

It was only last week that my brain really accepted that him and Robert Jenrick aren’t the same person.

Cleverly seems like the safe option, and the person other parties should be afraid of winning. Probably the best leader for everyone as well since it means there’s less chance of the UK if joining the far right with the other half of Europe. Not sure if Tory members will agree with that though, and I can see whoever he faces in the final 2 (if he even gets that far) winning from the disgruntled Boris part of the party.
