    >44 per cent of skilled migrants are working low-paid, unskilled jobs, despite two thirds of those migrants having arrived on the government’s skilled migration program.

A deeply and fundamentally flawed system.

  2. Part of the challenge is language barrier. It’s critical to have a high grasp of English language, native level.

Bonus for any additional languages sure, but that aspect needs to be prioritised.

The organisations that issue the certifications for these professions have been a closed shop for decades.

  4. Most of their quals aren’t worth the paper they are written on. The system is rife with fraud and that’s why they are content doing rideshare etc.

We attract low quality migrants because Aus us a place where unskilled and low skilled work pays so much.

*Chilean physio Antonio Michell, a trauma specialist with 10 years’ experience, has been driving rideshare and sweeping floors.*

Something doesn’t gel. If this guy was any good, he could have easily been doing remedial massages. Don’t need any license to do that.
