After decades of promises from Democrats to codify women’s reproductive rights then doing nothing, my level of confidence in them is non-existent

Sally Field’s story is so powerful and really highlights why protecting reproductive rights is so crucial; we can’t let history repeat itself!

Abortion laws won’t change no matter who is in the White House. There will be no new national laws in the next term.
For another pre Roe vs Wade perspective, watch The Janes on Max.

I wonder how many women prior to Roe were taken advantage of by predatory doctors offering back-alley abortions. They knew women couldn’t go to the authorities. In Field’s case she was in a different country. That must have been terrifying for her. This is what the right wants to take America back to.

Unfortunately Americans are affected by their own personal experiences and half of the population will never go through an abortion and thus will never understand or empathize with the traumatic experiences.
