    It’s a poor decision to give the islands to Mauritius, especially without consultation with those who were removed and their descendants who have no links to their new masters.

    Don’t see why inviting them back and giving jobs for the base and sustainable use of fisheries etc. couldn’t have been done.

    It is opening up a geopolitical weakness that could have negative strategic consequences later down the road and seems rather unnecessary.
