Had to reread this 3 times to understand (I think?) that the owner hasn’t actually been put down. Can someone confirm?

Was this recent? If they hadn’t applied by the deadline that’s on them surely, as nobody is supposed to be able to a acquire one since

The dog was described as a “softie”. Every XL bully is described this way. They still rip faces off.
Good riddance is all I can say.

Holy shit I knew Sky’s standards had been slipping for a while, but didn’t realise they were *this* bad. Was the editor on a smoke break or something?
No, that isn’t another dodgy click-bait poster title, it’s from the actual article.

I hope he sues the hell out of the police. Putting down any animal due to “administrative error” is unacceptable, and an abuse of due process to euthanise the dog before the court hearing. The police had no right to do anything before a court judgement.

Holy shit they put down the owner?? Heads are going to roll over this.
Really slack by the police here, but frankly wanting to own one of these dogs should immediately disqualify you from doing so.
Get a Labrador instead.
Can we talk about their *’poster’* that’s been quickly crammed into a frame for the photo op?
