I don’t know if America is worse because of Trump, but it’s more obvious nowadays where the rot is.

  2. Marginalization, limitation, elimination, and destruction. Lie when none a that works out. Welcome to the DJT toolbox tour.

  3. Yeah, he’s been doing that for the last decade at least. The only thing he cares about “making great again” is his bank account.

Pretend for a moment that Trump was a Russian asset with a goal of inflaming and dividing America.

In what ways would that look different than what he’s doing today?

No, his supporters are. Trump is just one guy. He only has the power that people choose to give him.

  6. Republicans are. They had multiple opportunities to be better. They aren’t. They can’t.

  7. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://chicago.suntimes.com/columnists/2024/10/04/donald-trump-mean-lies-americans-kamals-harris-presidents-race-haitians-immigrants-mona-charen) reduced by 87%. (I’m a bot)

    > In the hours after Hurricane Helene devastated the South, Republican nominee Donald Trump circulated rumors that the Biden/Harris administration and the "Democrat governor of the State" were "Going out of their way to not help people in Republican areas." As it happens, Asheville, one of the most devastated parts of North Carolina, is quite blue, but whatever.

    > Speaking in Wisconsin, Trump elaborated on his theme that other nations are emptying their prisons and mental institutions and dumping their criminals into the United States.

    > Trump invented a reality in which conniving, vicious enemies conspired to rob the people of their choice.

  8. I would say Trump’s follower’s are making it worse, Trump’s just an idiot mascot.

  9. “There were no new wars. But there were new wars. Between Americans.”

And this is why fascist dictators are, fundamentally, cowards and national disgraces.

They do not have enough power (moral/hard/soft) to project outward. They only have enough “power” to prey on the weakest members of their own society.

Which is not power at all. It is weakness and cowardice.

    Revolting to see.

  10. Trump is just stirring the pot of the absolute dredges of American society. They are there if Trump is or not. He is doing a great job of showing how incredibly stupid, gullible, and treasonous at least a quarter of the US population truly is.

  11. Creating civil unrest should disqualify a political candidate. I still can’t believe a felon can run for president of this country. The Republican’s choice doesn’t say much for the party. There is obviously no respectable code of conduct or code of ethics the Republicans are accountable to uphold. The culture of the party embraces beliefs that are destructive to the best interests of the people of this country.

  12. Yea no shit.

He’d be destitute if the Apprentice producers and Russia hadn’t bailed his orange ass out.

He’s a caricature of a business mogul. All the fake glamour, faux luxury, and corruption of an aging Las Vegas casino surviving 20 years past it’s own death. His followers are the occupants, angry at losing over and over again, but still desperately shoving quarters in, hoping for a small taste of victory, so long forgotten that it’s more of an idea than a memory.

All the while, the exit was right there the whole time. But they’re too addicted, too angry, and too afraid to leave. Maybe this next quarter will be the one.

Everyone outside can see how horribly sad and awful it is. But there’s no windows or clocks in casinos…so sadly these people have no idea what time it is…or that the weather really is nice outside today.

I blame the people that stayed home in 2016. Proving once again, freedom isn’t free.
