  1. I pay a lot of taxes. Consider that my contribution to the GoFundMe to help hurricane victims.

  2. LMAO. So I can give my money to Trump to ~~donate in his name~~ keep?

    Edit: you guys are right

  3. Last time he launched a charity, a judge had to close it down because Trump kept redirecting money dedicated to sick kids into his pockets. Just saying.

  4. well that’s unlike how they want people to deal with prexisting conditions once they get rid of Obamacare.

A dollar donated to anything Trump related is a dollar that will be spent on Trump’s legal defense. It’s a complete waste.

  6. From the article:

    > It’s not clear if the former president himself donated; Trump is not listed as one of the donors who has given the most, a range that spans from $1,500 to $500,000.

when you are above the law you can use workarounds like this to pay people to vote for you. Official acts and what not…

  9. Trump is going to be overseeing the distribution of this money? He’s an accomplished grifter and a pathological liar, no way they’re not paying themselves a ridiculous amount of money to accomplish this task – the grift is on people. It’ll be years before anything is distributed if at all, and they won’t give away a dime before they pay themselves, this is painful to watch.

  10. If he were doing a 2-for-1 I might think about he.

But then he might reneg on the deal and even my $1 would likely not get to the victims until 10 years later after the lawsuits are settled. And then they’d only get about 20% of that $1 becasue of attorneys fees.

Will there be ANY investigation as to how much trump pockets and then follow up on charging him with fraud. Or will this also get a pass?

Don’t bother, I know the answer.

Edit: Jesus Christ, the rubes have already sent in nearly $4 million.

  12. Reading the comments on that thing thanking Trump for “giving real support” as they give away their last $100 of disability money is unreal. It’s great they want to donate to a charity but man, these people are cooked, the idolatry doesn’t even let them take credit for things they do as a movement, it’s all donald.

80% of the final tally will be eaten in admin fees and legal fees before a cent or two is passed over

Dude, anytime he starts a fundraiser, he must need something himself. Cause those funds never get where they are supposed to go. He steals them.

The absurdity of Trump doing this aside…Anyone else here getting really fucking sick of really really rich people doing Go-Fund-Me’s and asking for fucking donations?

Dude, you call yourself a billionaire, your son in law took 2 billion from the Saudi’s…

    Throw. Down. Some. Fucking. Cash!!

    ….or Shut. The. Fuck. Up!!

  16. None of that money will go to hurricane victims. It’s just going to be another Trump con job.

  17. Paper towels gonna cost a lot with the longshoreman strike Trump is participating in

  18. Hopefully GoFundMe will keep track of the paper trail of where the money goes and report any fraud.

When Trump finally kicks it, it’ll free up so much wasted time.

He’s a vortex of suck, whether it be money, work, or attention, he draws in so many resources for a man that left to his own devices, literally may not have one useful skill.

In sure he’ll benefit financially Way more than the victims, p.s any idiot can start a Go Find Me Don.

  21. That money is either going into Trump’s pockets, or he will donate it, but claim that it is his own personal donation.
