So incredible that there are (so far) no injuries reported. Equally terrifying there are undetonated bombs littered around the planet. Literal ticking time bombs decades later.

Yeah, we keep finding out several generations after our ancestors decided to fuck around here in Germany, too. We still have regular finds of WWII bombs.

  3. Breaking news. USA bomb explodes in Japan. Tensions rise. Masses condemn this horrific attack on the Japanese people. Free Japan! 🇯🇵

  4. Unexploded ordinance detection is still required in many parts of the world and adds significantly to the cost of construction projects.

  5. i was an ammunition management soldier during my military service in Korea and once a year in the reserves forces and there are still many un-defused bombs in the countryside

farmers will often find them but don’t want in anyway to be involved in the process and so report them anonymously or by giving super vague descriptions of the location or the funniest is when they try to draw the locations and it essentially becomes an impossibly obscure “treasure” hunt

just stands a reminder how recent these wars really are in a sense

  6. Kids going to have their limbs blown off in Russia and Ukraine for the next 50 years from unexploded ordnance
