Something was hit. There are secondary explosions!

So much for them mainly hitting “empty fields”
Lakuriqidites on
Has there been any reports on what was actually hit?
Some military bases or air bases are definitely hit, but there isn’t anything on the news.

There are secondaries, but they are singular not popping. I think a fuel depot was hit.

I thought ballistic missiles only fired their rocket motors on the way up(?). Why are they shining bright on the way down? So many videos now show bright lights falling down, and then seemingly exploding? Could it be shrapnel, or is some kind of rocket also firing in the terminal phase of the ballistic missile? I am very confused. Some guy said the videos were running in reverse, and it was really Israeli interceptors going up, but I can see for sure that is at least not all the videos are like that, and I doubt everything that hit were shrapnel from successful interceptions either. Please Reddit brain trust, explain it to me.

I somehow underestimated Iran

Where are all the commenters who were lying about all the missiles being intercepted and that the explosions were just debris?

I see this and all I can think about is how Iranian soldiers must be absolutely sweating right now, knowing there’s going to be a response. Israeli ordnance is on a completely different level in terms of precision and payload size. It’s one thing to have a lot of rockets, but when you know the other side can hit a bullseye from 2000 km away with a much bigger payload… yeah, that’s gotta feel pretty terrifying.

Kinda looking like Iran caught Israel with its pants down. It’s an act of war.

Damn, seems like Iran did quite well on this. Seems like most of the missiles where on military and government facilities.
Probs to them honestly, for being restrained

In almost every video, it sounds like they’re saying “yooooo” which is something teens and young adults would say in American English when something cool happens. What are they actually saying if it’s not that, and what does it mean?

It’s a clever move to just keep on stockpiling missiles, they have nothing else but they could really wreck havoc by launching them non stop.
Question is of course, how many do they really have of those that “work” and secondly, does Israel have any chance to stop them from keeping on firing them. They have had huge problems putting an end to the small rockets from Hamas and Hezbollah. Finding out where the launchers and the stockpiles are in such a huge country, and taking them out is nearly impossible.
But imho, if Israel doesn’t go full on in retaliation mode and shows Iran just how much damage then can do it will be because they fear for a full out missile war with Iran. But i don’t think they have any choice but to go to war with Iran. Iran is at the center of this conflict and unless they are stopped this shit will carry on forever.
And Iran has shown Israel that they can hurt them now.

Perhaps it’s perspective here, but I was expecting the blasts to be bigger upon impact for the size of the missiles I’ve seen floating around on X tonight?
That aside, that’s a pretty good reminder that they have accurate weaponry to hand.

Holy shit, from all those videos, did Iran actually pummel military installations?
kneejerk2022 on
Pretty accurate 500+ mile rocket fire on a legit military target if true.

What the hell comes streaking it at 17 seconds? I thought it was a bug, but then it exploded. It was moving really fast to be an ICBM. Is that a failed intercept or something else entirely?

Clear hit with secondary

I fully believe this was allowed to be this successful looking without it really causing much damage as a justification for a limited scope Lebanon incursion. If Iran can hit us and give Lebanon the same weapons we must take pre emptive action ! I’m all for it because fuck hezballsack.

I honestly thought Israel was shooting down most of all the missiles that were heading for its territory only letting a few in here and there but the video’s coming out now just looks like there was minimal air defense or maybe it was just overwhelmed from the first volley because I think that they said there was about 180 missiles.
