Authorities in Erie, Pennsylvania, are still seeking $40,330 from Donald Trump’s presidential campaign to pay for assistance they provided for his 2018 and 2023 campaign visits, bringing the total debt five cities say he owes them to over $740,000.
The Erie claim was made by a spokesman for the city’s Democratic Mayor Joe Schember during a conversation with the *Erie Times-News*.
It is in addition to more than $700,000 of unpaid debts that four cities—El Paso, Texas; Spokane, Washington; Mesa, Arizona; and Green Bay, Wisconsin—were still seeking last month for rallies that took place between 2016 and 2019, a [*Newsweek* investigation](https://www.newsweek.com/unpaid-debts-are-catching-donald-trump-campaign-trail-1950283) found.

I feel bad for the 2015/16 venues that didn’t get paid.
In 2024 it is your fault for booking a known debt dodger.

Most likely, he asked his crew to find some sort of fault, then just said, “We ain’t paying. Sue us.” Was the same shit he used to pull on contractors in NY and NJ.

I don’t know why cities and venues don’t demand a massive down payment and a credit card before letting him have his little rallies

God help anyone who gives that guy a line of credit or expects to get paid. Just ask the workers who built his NJ casino.

Last time I checked, the US Government wouldn’t allow you to have a security clearance if you had too much debt, is that still a thing or do they not care about stuff like that anymore?

So many thought Trump was playing 4D chess. In reality he was just never smart enough. He has one dimensional thinking which is primarily his ego and can’t see past that.
