Altough a win is actually worse for the FPÖ. Now the ÖVP could talk to the SPÖ and potentially the NEOS to form a coalition and stay in power. The FPÖ will most likely return to opposition.

  2. Doesn’t anyone remember the Nazis? Nobody likes the Nazis. I don’t know any sane people fondly reminiscing about Nazism. Get it together, people.

“Far” Party politics is different in every country. What qualifies as “Far Right” in these modern times for Austria specifically?

  4. If you want to stop the rise of the far right in Europe then stop mass immigration from the 3rd world. It’s not rocket science.

  5. and the beauty of the multi party system means that everyone has their voice counted to some extent and so they can all work against a large extremist minority. In a two party system (like USA), you’d probably find these far-right dip-shits being a driving force within the winning party and they’d have too much power.

Did Australia not just witness how the far right has destroyed Britain with “brexit”? and let’s not forget about trump. Aussie’s, You know the far right is a big grift of greed and hate right? Like Nazism…just on the other end of the spectrum of evil.

  7. The guy on the picture is Karl Nehammer, current chancellor of Austria from the right-wing party OVP, not the leader of the far-right FPO, that could be confusing 😅

  8. молодцы товарищи! Следующим мы сделаем так, чтобы Трамп победил!

As long as muslim immigration is not stopped , what you call the “far right” will continue to win. People decided to play the ostrich and close their eyes, they now pay the price every day. Islam is not compatible with the west, period.

  10. Not much changed. FPÖ got what ÖVP lost – so the right wing population basically got more extreme, but ÖVP + FPÖ is stable at around 50%.

Still bad, but its not that bad.

  11. Can we stop calling “wins” based on simply having the highest percentage? If they have 29.2% and they are the “highest percentage”, it doesn’t mean shit if no one wants to work with you. You’ll win if you somehow manage to use your vote share to secure power. Otherwise, sit down, and come back if you somehow manage to break 50%.
