  1. The government calling a private billionaire tech guy to save its people from their doomed space mission is some Hollywood level of shit.

Hopefully this will be a rare spacex win. I am rooting for them on this occasion, hopefully the mission is a success

Imagine that one broke. That’s a shit Christmas that. Stuck in space with cosmonaut farts and collectively pretending to not notice someone wanking in space on boxing day.

  4. So will this bring them back sooner than next year? That was the last I heard, that they wouldn’t be able to retrieve them until 2025. Unless this is going up and parking until then. The article didn’t say.

Edit: yeah this thing isn’t coming back til February.

    > Since NASA rotates space station crews approximately every six months, this newly launched flight with two empty seats reserved for Wilmore and Williams won’t return until late February. Officials said there wasn’t a way to bring them back earlier on SpaceX without interrupting other scheduled missions.

  5. Pure click bait article ….. programmed ‘rescue’ by NASA using SpaceX assets and billed to SpaceX per existing contract…. saved a click……….

  6. This is what we can expect if a corporation replaces a government agency. Instead of press releases we get sensational bullshit fluff pieces about how irreplaceable SpaceX is.

I can’t wait for the US Government to Nationalize SpaceX

  7. As much as I’m happy that this will contribute to the astronauts safe return, I hate that a piece of shit like Musk gets any credit at all.

    Fuck that guy
