When one of the men is a known liar, has been repeatedly caught in the act of lying, has admitted publicly to manufacturing and promoting a false narrative of racist origin and hateful intent, and whose party is widely known to promote falsehoods, doesn’t that just turn the debate into Vance lying and Waltz having to spend his time fact checking his opponent instead of addressing the question of the moderator’s?
Look, if you’re going to hold a debate, the basic expectation that both parties address the questions of the moderators with basis in reality should be the job of the moderator’s to enforce.
