  1. It was a pretty conservative bill too, not exactly like the Republicans killed some liberal Democrat bill, it was their own piece of legislation basically.

Part of me dislikes that; I don’t love my Democratic nominee championing Republican legislation. If people are seeking asylum, they are running from something terrible and I sympathize, would like to welcome them in if possible. Honestly I’m not happy with how either side has dealt with things down there.

That said, we do need to deal with the border. To me the real problem is the “undocumented” aspect. If we can have them in here legally, they can earn legit wages and be able to be protected by our laws, and not be taken advantage of by the unscrupulous employers who abuse their nebulous status. I’m pro labor, including my working immigrant brothers and sisters.

  2. Question why didn’t they do something about it in the first 3 years? Why did they do away with the prior administration border policies that kept it less of a mess? Where are the 300k missing kids?

Who’s funding the road through the Darien Gap, and why are so many Chinese nationals coming in?

Yes the United States has and will always be a nation of immigrants. Yes the process is often hard and expensive but allowing millions that bypassed the proper way will only enrage those that did it properly. The border policies by the current administration has made it more advantageous to claim asylum. They knew if they said those magic words they would be let in to disappear into the country. There are burn barrels right at the border where they throw all of their documentation so who knows who’s coming in. I’m all for immigration, we need people that want to work and be a part of the community. I’m not for bad actors taking advantage and coming in to take and to cause crime.

  3. I got picked up from work today by my Mom’s boyfriend (she’s been divorced since 2013) and *my lord,* he had the most Conservative radio station on I’ve heard in a minute. Ranting and bitching about the border and how it’s all Biden and Harris’s faults, never once mentioned the bill they tried to pass or anything.

Also said things like Dems are just acting like the last four years “didn’t happen,” apparently.

  4. I love that she is on the offensive, and it’s working.

Biden had a double digit deficit to Trump on the economy. Kamala hit that issue head on and is now tied or ahead depending on the poll. She can do the same on immigration.

Democrats can win if they fight, and Kamala can freaking fight.

  5. Honestly just forget about AZ, it’s a lost cause. Focus on PA. Harris should throw every first pitch at Phillies games in October.
