  1. >Several Lebanese opposition parties have rejected the war that has been going on in the country since Monday, when the Israeli army increased its bombings in several areas of Lebanon. The leader of the Maronite Lebanese Forces party (FL, the largest opposition bloc), Samir Geagea, asked: “Can someone explain to me what has prevented the President of the Parliament so far, Nabih berri, to urgently convene the chamber to discuss the tragedy that the Lebanese people are experiencing at this time, especially if we remember that ten deputies had submitted a written request on July 22 to set a date to question the government on the measures to be taken to save the South and Lebanon from war?” In a statement released today, Geagea added: “It is unacceptable that the Lebanese people continue to suffer. Are the difficult financial, economic and social crises not a heavy enough burden to add a war that we have warned against on several occasions and that has ended up displacing them in the heart of their homeland?” The leader said that this is “a tragedy while the state is practically absent.”

“Hassan Nasrallah’s militia (the pro-Iranian Shiite party Hezbollah) is responsible for the murder of the Lebanese people,” said Mrad, who urged “the parties, parliamentarians and sovereignist forces to hold an urgent meeting and send a message to the international community: the majority of the Lebanese people reject the presence of Hezbollah’s militias and are paying the price for the destruction of Lebanon and the murder of its people for the benefit of Iran, which sold them on the slave market,” calling for “the rapid implementation of Resolution 1559, which is the salvation for the captive Lebanese people and will put an end to senseless wars.” Mrad also stressed the importance of “the Lebanese army removing missile bases and depots from homes, villages and areas outside the militias’ environment.”

  2. Lebanese government should just surrender to Israel with conditions that the US or UN have them under administration for a period of 5-10 years to catch all the rats and stabilize the economy there. the rightful government could end Hezbollah and live in peace

  3. Hezb 100% doesn’t give a damn about Lebanon or the Lebanese. What did they expect would happen after they launch 10000 missiles at civilians? Every death is Lebanon is because of them just like every death in Gaza is because of Hamas.

I still have no idea what Nasrallah is thinking, he must know that by starting this war he just fast tracked his own demise

At the end of the day, though, Hezbollah isn’t the sovereign of the territory where the attacks on Israel came from. The Lebanese government and army have been standing on the sidelines, pretending it’s happening to someone else.

The world is also fucked up in allowing this situation to go on for such a long time. A sovereign nation, UN member, is not in control of its own territory. A terrorist organization is in effective control of the country and is launching attacks against another UN member. There were UNSC resolutions in place. Where was the world?

Everyone were so comfy looking the other way. Now fucking live with it.

  6. They should have done something earlier. Hezbollah has been shooting rockets at Israel for basically a year now. Now that Israel has had enough they speak out?

  7. Netanyahu used those exact words today in his speech at the UN. Talking about Hezbollah dragging Lebanon into the abyss.
