I’m wondering if this ruling will be the cause the supreme court’s decision to overturn will be based on. Because I feel that the super conservative justices are going to ride shotgun on this case.
I can imagine that the trump team will try to immediately take this to SCOTUS, bypassing the district court, and either Alito or Thomas writing the overturning opinion to Chutkan allowing for the long brief on a technicality.

We are going to file a dismissal of the charges because Trump has presidential immunity but that will be months down the road, way, way past Election Day.
