Ontario can learn from Boston’s mega highway project, experts say

  1. At the very least? That it will cost way more and take way longer than what anyone will say.

Unless they double or triple the capacity of the roads going to and from the tunnel, it’ll bottle neck and be an underground parking lot.

In Boston it was to replace, not add to the raised highway that needed too much replaced. So it was not just a half backed idea from a hopeless ideologue talking to his smooth brained base. It was needed.

  2. And the lesson is: don’t do it. The proposed project is, quite frankly, lunacy. An extremely expensive vanity project that won’t help anything. Money that could be spent on much more needed infrastructure. Or healthcare or education.
