>MPs will debate the new motion on Thursday and vote on it next week on Tuesday.
You know a party has no actual platform when they can’t use their opposition time to actually propose something useful. Our system is designed to give the official opposition time in the house to bring their bills and any of their private member bills to the floor. This is what they choose to do: two non-confidence motions in a row.
No means ‘No’. How hard is that for the CPC to understand.

Seems a bit premature. The first motion gave the CPC plenty of ammo to levy against the Bloc and NDP, not sure the point of this one. Especially when the Bloc has given the LPC a deadline into October for the pension top up.

Trying this once is fine but now this is just political theatre.

If it’s fails again, will the Conservative Party lose confidence in the leader and ask for Pierre to step down?
SuburbanValues on
The government has its own spending motion, to implement parts of the previous Budget, coming up anyway. That’s a confidence matter on its own.

Is there no drawback for doing this twice in two days? What is difference between Thursday’s proposal compared to Wednesday’s vote? Any kind of double jeopardy type rule? Cuz otherwise… yeesh.

Is he just going to keep spamming these? At least wait a month, BQ may side with them at that point

CPC will just keep doing this over and over again until the next election. They want to show that the NDP is still propping up the Liberals so that any failures of the Liberals are failures of the NDP as well.

This is already the most things that the guy has tabled in his over 20 year career.
Shame it is onoynthearre intended to help him grab power and increase his personal status.

Another vote to show Canada has less confidence in Poilievre than they do in Trudeau.

When Pierre fails again perhaps he should step down as leader of the Conservatives.

It’s a shame this kid is in charge. I’m no fan of Trudeau these days, but please give us reasonable choices to vote for.

you know this is just stupid when this sub which really wants trudeau out is groaning and telling him to move on and do something productive

Doesn’t Poilievre always say the party is fiscally responsible? This seems like a gian waste of money

Forcing the other opposition to support the Liberals over and over and then watch them squirm trying to distance themselves from them come election time. good luck other parties

This is prime time for PP. I think his support has peaked. If Liberals actually start listening and implementing good policies…PP loses ground

The last non-confidence vote in 20011 by Michael Ingatieff made Harper sweat and an election was held but conservative got more seats.
Would liberals garner more seats if the election was held now? Probably not.

What a waste of an opposition day. Fuckers have no interest in actual legislation. Just freaks that love the idea of being “prime” because they didn’t get enough love growing up. Ugh
