  1. >At the same time, the Bloc came out with a new set of demands for the government to help enact two of the party’s proposed laws — including one that could cost billions of dollars — before Oct. 29. Failure to do so means the separatist Bloc would work with the other opposition parties to topple the Trudeau Liberals and plunge Canada into an election this fall, said Bloc Leader Yves-François Blanchet.

    >With the Bloc, NDP and Greens voting with the Liberal government, the Conservative attempt to declare non-confidence was defeated 211 to 120.

    >One of the Bloc bills, C-319, aims to increase pensions for seniors aged 65 to 74. The other, C-282, would protect the supply management system for dairy farmers from getting diluted in future trade negotiations.

    >“It’s the entire demand in an irrevocable and non-negotiable way,” Blanchet said in French, when asked if he would accept only one of those bills becoming law by his deadline.

The frequency and severity of the demands by the Bloc and the NDP are going to increase over the next months. They’ve got the liberals bent over the bench right now.

Yeah, maybe it’s time for an election.

If all these asshats think they’re doing the best for the country, maybe they should let the voters decide.

Ugh it really sucks being in this political limbo right now. It’s been so long since I felt any sort of confidence or inspiration from any level of Canadian government 🙁

  5. The Bloc only gets 1 opposition day this year, and it looks like they are really trying to make the most of it.

  6. The liberals cannot even win in Toronto or Montreal right now.

**If there was a vote, they would lose almost every seat** and they KNOW this.

So all they are doing, is grasping onto power- NO ONE WANTS THEM TO HAVE.

And what keeps them in power will be… **buying pet projects for the BLOC and NDP**.

16 Billion for seniors (the wealthiest demographic in Canada) paid for EXCLUSIVELY WITH DEBT – which will almost certainly downgrade our credit rating and make it more expensive to borrow.

And that *BUYS* what? 3 months before another non-confidence and multi billion project?

And… again… the parties making all these decisions, **would be wiped out if there was actually an election**. Doesn’t stop them from spending at all though.

    **Its time for an election**

  7. Trudeau’s pimping himself out for his own perverted selfish needs. All this”for all Canadians” is nothing more than a fart in a desert storm.

I don’t think the liberals are even capable of meeting the bloc’s demands.

They have to cut another deal with the NDP or call an election. The conservatives have put them in an extremely tough position.

  9. Its funny how the separatists have the government at their knees. It’ll be interesting to see who happens in the coming months with these back door deals to keep the libs in power.
