    Some corrupt local politican decided to okay the building of a russian orthodox church on the ridge next to my local airport.
    He okayed it on his own even tho thats not proper procedure.
    He was likely bribed into doing so.

    There’s a good amount of debate over religion, when it’s just religion and spiritual beliefs.

    .. but that’s over religions that aren’t blatantly a single-country state-sponsored propaganda and manipulation tool like the Russian Orthodox Church is though.

    So take every criticism of religion in general, combine that with Putin’s corruption, Russian rapeyness, and raw unfettered greed – and it’s not hard to see why you’d want to kick this “church” out.
