He’ll do nationally what Danielle Smith is doing in Alberta, Doug Ford is doing in Ontario, Scott Moe is doing in Saskatchewan, and Blaine Higgs is doing in New Brunswick. Accelerate privatization, advance school “choice” (aka underfund the public school system, underfund health care, and give Canadians, across the country, culture war prizes for supporting his corporatist agenda. Plus, as an added bonus to his supporters, he’ll take the Liberal snouts out of the trough and replace them with those belonging to his cronies.

I doubt he will be much different than Harper, the same advisors will be in power dictating policy. His biggest problems will be ignoring any kind of environmental issues, as well as budgetary issues from tax cuts, which will likely mean service cuts. Obviously the Liberals are going to try to paint a picture of him as anti-abortion, and try to tie him to Trump, which just won’t work, since it’s so dishonest.
Honestly there’s a lot of similarities with Trudeau and Poilievre’s leadership styles. They both are very top down leaders who allow no room in their caucus for dissent. Harper wasn’t all that different either, but I guess none of them have had any kind of revolts.
