I’m sure sending unwilling and demotivated men to the front grinder has worked out for a nation currently at war…

Because that’s what this is all about at the end.

  2. I’m from Poland and think this is an evil take, let people live goddammit. Low numbers of soldiers can be, to a large degree, compensated with high grade weapons

  3. Not just the men, but also the women. How can a man be motivated to fight if he doesn‘t already have a wife and kids waiting for them? They can also do their part morally and economically to support the nation but c‘mon, just living comfortably abroad and waiting for the war to end, while in the meantime they have fun with the local men, that can‘t be it.

  4. Forcing men onto front lines against their will is not going to be productive. There must be a will to fight. Instead of physically forcing them on the front, they could come up with some legal schema that allows men to avoid service at the line of contact in favor of safer occupations, like helping out with civil defense, or driving trucks in the rear, or contributing in some other way (including financially). I’m sure there are a lot of first responder and builder roles in the rear that are acutely needed during a war.

  5. Well, they failed to gather volunteers from Ukrainian refugees for the Ukrainian army. Now they want to recruit non-volunteers.
