This truly is an impressive surgical strike. I’m not sure exactly who qualified for a pager but I assume it had to be someone beyond grunt level soldiers. This has to have crippled the command and control element of Hezbollah and it’s going to make their long-term communication even more difficult.

Assuming they don’t explode, pagers are a wonderfully cheap and simple way to one-way communicate to one (or one thousand) people at a time, and anyone tracking would only know the intended recipient was somewhere within range of the radio pager network – which basically could be anywhere in the region

What are the chances that most of these men are officers/nco’s. You dont issue secure devices to random street boys because israel isnt likely to target the rando nobodies with sophisticated tracking methods.
