  1. Don’t take publications that misuse hypersonic like that serious. It’s just another buzzword here

  2. If an IRBM re-entry vehicle is an “hypersonic weapon” then hypersonics were first successfully fielded in the 1950’s. When people say “hypersonic weapon” they don’t mean an RV, they mean either a hypersonic glide vehicle capable of maneuvering and telemetry, or a hypersonic cruise missile capable of terrain-skimming.

Editors and journalists really should educate themselves.

  3. What was the source of the missile, Iran or another country. I can’t imagine the Houthis being the source of an advanced weapon.

  4. The missile was detected and multiple different types of interception missiles were sent and apparently fail to intercept it, but by the time it reached the ground it already disintegrated and it was already sharpnel so it’s hard to know if the missiles couldn’t be intercepted because the houthi one was already in pieces… at least that doesn’t stop their spokesperson from boasting about how cutting edge that missile was

  5. Any they’re people are facing the worst humanitarian crisis and what do they want? Hypersonic missiles…
