Some years ago I was talking to a friend who was a Police Officer. He said they too often pick up people who are drunk, going to pick their kids up from school in the afternoon! He said when he joined the force several years earlier , he was surprised…but no longer was.
Very sad. I recall this one woman at my daughters prep, was often obviously drunk when there to pick up her little boy. Made me so sad. She seemed a nice enough person. They walked though. Small town and house only a few blocks. But sometimes she was VERY drunk. So sad. Obviously had a big drinking problem.
