Two countries currently elect judges the US and Bolivia neither of whom should be emulated because it allows for partisan judges. A problem the US is running into right now quite a lot.
I could only imagine how bad elected judges could be in Mexico.
If for example a cartel successfully installs a judge (which let’s be honest they will) and just happens to dismiss all the cases against a cartel. This could only be bad for Mexico. Obligatory IANAML
