Clash between joint forces of pro-junta NSCN-IM, Meitei insurgent group PLA and Shanni nationalities army against local People defence forces in Sagaing region Myanmar
NSCN-IM stands for National Socialist Council of Nagaland – Isak-Muivah. They are not considered fascists. The PLA here is the People’s Liberation Army of Manipur. There is a Communist Party of Burma People’s Liberation Army that fights together with the PDF.
The first two groups are from India. Shanni Nationalities Army is from Myanmar, but they used to fight against the junta until late 2022/early 2023.
