Atleast they got to fire of their payload, so there’s that atleast.
Guessing it’s atacms, since there’s only two missile’s being fired of.

Goes to show mobility doesn’t matter if enemy has surveillance. Gotta protect the skies

Fuck, they got lucky. RIP to the crew.

Is this the first one since the start of the war?

I wonder why don’t they go back to their hanger/bunker after firing? Why hide it in a forest?
Also wonder how hard is it to see a drone with another drone. Like if the HIMAR team had their own fix wing drone would how hard would it be for them to spot the other drone.

Is this vid fresh or they use archive footage again?

Welp… Positive effect on target. Better send some more!

Is Sumy oblast inside Russia ?

Usual Russian footage, cuts galore, shows nothing concrete. Both Himars and the M270s have scatered munition pods so they can reload without driving to a major stockpile far away. For all i know, the fireworks we see could be just those pods that got struck. We have no major black smoke due to tires and other materials burning for example

Bummer. But hey when you run a sawmill, you’re gonna get sawdust.
Even HIMARS are vulnerable if their hide site is observed.

Is there any failure of tactics here? Looks like they made an attempt to hide and just got unlucky they were spotted. Could they have anything different?

Here comes the downvotes.
Anyways rip to the crew, they had to come closer to the Frontline to hit Kursk

I really felt like Russia was running out of Iskanders. Guess not. Pity

What is driving in the last 10 seconds? They marked a Launcher and a jeep. Thing driving does not look like the jeep, looks like the launcher.

Definitely not parking on the edge of the forest anymore…

Sad to see. Fk Russia as always.

I should note that in the last frames of the video the movement of the truck is clearly visible. either there were several launchers in this place, or after reloading the highmars changed its location and did not come under attack.

Oh god, this war has ruined my brain. Even though the video is silent, I still heard crappy music

well lets send a fresh one than shall we

What is the long term solution for this. Is it next gen drones that fly on a fixed scanning rout to find other surveillance drones and kill them? I imagine the technology exists but not available widely yet.

Is this the first seemingly indisputable destruction of a HIMARS system? I’ve seen quite a few claimed hits that were incredibly dubious or just outright falsified, but this seems pretty convincing. Crazy it took them so long to finally track one down and destroy it after almost 2 years of being in theatre

Hmm we better send ten more at least. Maybe 20 just to be safe.

Is this the 1st confirmed destruction of himars after two and a half years of war?
