I joined the Army when M60s hadn’t been completely phased out yet and let me tell you shooting from the hip was the manliest sensation you’ll ever know. I got to let loose on the grenade launcher range at Benning and nailing those steel targets at the back of the range was just like being a kid at Disneyworld. Sparks and tracers bouncing and dirt flying all over the place.

In the future, in place of “search and destroy,” substitute the phrase “sweep and clear.” Got it?
