  1. Key things to know

The 25 selected applications came from states, local governments, Tribes, and coalitions of these entities across the country.

Selected applicants will use the $4.3 billion in funding to implement ambitious local and regional climate pollution reduction measures to significantly reduce greenhouse gases (GHGs) by 2030 and beyond.

The selected applications will result in significant benefits including climate benefits, air quality improvements, lower energy bills, cleaner water, and greater access to green space and public transportation.
CPRG implementation grants will fund programs that create high-quality jobs across the U.S. including in rural areas and disadvantaged communities.

These implementation grants complement the $250 million in CPRG planning grants awarded in 2023 to 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, 82 metropolitan statistical areas, four territories, and more than 200 Tribes.
